Poseidon is a municipal housing company with over 28 000 apartments throughout Gothenburg. We are part of the Framtiden Group, owned by the city of Gothenburg.
Our mission as a municipal housing company goes beyond merely managing apartments. We work to ensure that our residential areas are pleasant and safe and that Gothenburg becomes a sustainable and pleasant city.
Applying för an apartment
With us everyone has the same right to apply for an apartment. Here’s how to search for an apartment:
Current tenants
If you already live with Poseidon, you are able to search for another apartment within the Framtiden Group through Omflyttningsplatsen. To be able to apply for an apartment at Omflyttningsplatsen, you must have a first-hand contract with us. Furthermore, you need to have lived in your apartment for at least 12 months. If there are many applicants for the same apartment, the applicant who has lived with us the longest gets an offer to sign a contract.
Sub-tenancy agreements do require permission from Poseidon as well as changing apartments directly with another tenant. Sub-tenancy agreements without permission can lead to notice of cancellation of the leasing agreement.
Not a tenant
Our apartments are rented out via Boplats. Here’s how to search for an apartment via Boplats:
1. Register at boplats.se
You must be 17 years old at the time of registration and 18 years old to apply for anapartment. The annual fee is 200 SEK.
2. Apply for an apartment
You must apply for the apartment yourself. The applicant who meets the selection profile and has been registered at Boplats the longest will be offered the apartment first.
3. Attend the viewing
If you meet the selection profile for the apartment, you may be offered a viewing. The offer will be sent to the email address you´ve entered when you registered. Attend the viewing – it is a good opportunity to ask questions about the apartment as well as the common areas.
4. Accept or decline
The next step is to accept or decline the offer. Do so within the specified time via your my pages at boplats.se. If you decline or don´t respond to six offers during a six month period you won´t be able to apply for a apartment during the following six months. However, you won’t lose your collected days if you’ve paid the fee.
5. Sign the agreement
If you enter a tenancy agreement, your registration date on Boplats will be reset. Your registration date at Boplats serves as queuing time, i.e the number of days you´ve been registered. For more information in English visit https://boplats.se/tipshjalp/konto
